comments: Pvalb GABAergic neuron compromise 40% of all the interneurons in the globus pallidus (GP). They are predominantly localised in the globus pallidus external segment. They exhibit fast-firing spontaneous acting, project to the subthalamic nucleus and the internal segment of the GP and also innervate the striatum.
