thanks @beasleyjonm - naive biology question - are there similar, named-exchanges for the other nucleotides and do we need those here as well?

Great question, and something I did not consider since the guanine exchange factors are most common for this type of activity. There are adenine exchange factors, such as this, so we could also safely add "adenyl_nucleotide_exchange". There may be similar types of activity in much more esoteric biology, but I feel that these two will cover most cases.
