Thanks. Turns out that the issue is due to account being logged in. Installed this fork and it worked quite well till I logged in, after that this fork had same error. Maybe original innertune works without login as well, but I don't see any logout button in innertune settings to confirm that

Lmao, same here 😭😭
I can’t listen to music if I’m logged in, cause I’ve downloaded so many songs, and I need my playlist on yt music, so I need to stay logged in. I guess Innertune works, but not if we’re logged in.

Could be your songs are cached. Try playing lots of songs and maybe some will break, if not then maybe some accounts/regions are breaking or something. Not sure tho, I don't know

This is going to change. Is this the same as before?

@AKAFRENSI

Same error here, hoping this will be fixed soon, if the songs are not cached or downloaded on the phone any song cannot be played..

Any idea on what the problem can be?

Same here. "Unknown error" if signed in, "Please sign in" otherwise. Malopieds' fork breaks after some(17-35) seconds of playback while not signed in and instantly otherwise

mine still works for some reason... just log back in innertune, then create a backup from there (cuz the backup files also saves the log-in state). back to the mapeloids fork, load the backup and everything works perfectly fine. one thing though, is even though it seems like you're logged in in the contents section, tapping on the account still requires you to relogin in yt music so idk what's going on here. another thing is this fork drains more battery than the vanilla innertune, constantly running in the background to keep the player running while og innertune doesn't have to do this. i dont have any plan on adding new music so for the mean time the vanilla innertune is perfectly fine, since cached and downloaded songs are playable, but if you're adding new music then just try the same steps that i did with the fork. i've also seen some nightly build links of innertune on reddit and here, and it does work flawlessly so if you don't like the fork, try it out as well

Ive noticed that it doesn't affect songs that have been downloaded, any song that isn't downloaded always says 'unknown error' I hope they fix this asap because I have like hundreds of songs

Same thing here as well, however, I don't know why but it particularly worked for a song made in the form of a video called "Kiss the sky" by the singer themselves (Maren Morris, and yes I just watched the Wild Robot), even though I didn't download or click on the song ever before. I havent find any other examples as of now but it doesn's work with song that isn't download but glad to know it wasn't an issue from my device.

Either way, I really hope the devs fix it asap, but if they did is it automatic or do I have to like re-download another version of the app
