Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
so when i launch into games on my ps5 its fine and alls well there HOWEVER when im ready to exit the game i do not have the ability to assign the back paddles on my controller to the ps button to then use the regular controls for myself to then safely exit the game. if theres another way of doing this well as in on the console itself. then great! but for now all i know how to do is do it via the control center which requires the ps button. so any wa of exiting and closing the game for now is tricky :/

  2. Click on controller
  3. click any button on the controller to ig assign it

  5. cant reassign ps button to the paddles or other button

@CalebOWolf you have 2 main options.

  1. Assign the back paddle to ctrl+q in Steam input. This is the button for quitting the stream. You can choose disconnect action in the chiaki settings to set if you want to either leave the console on, out it to sleep or ask each time if you would like to put the console to sleep upon exiting the stream.
  2. use l1+r1+l3+r3 to bring up the stream menu and quit from there.
See the documentation for more controller mapping details https://streetpea.github.io/chiaki-ng/setup/controlling/#standard-controller-mappings

if you are playing the game via Steam you should use Steam input and not the chiaki-ng controller mapper as Steam input hides the controls from chiaki-ng and just presents a virtual controller so there’s now way for chiaki-ng to map the controls. Alternatively, you can disable Steam input for the given controller and then are safe to use the chiaki-ng controller mapper.

@CalebOWolf I’m also not completely following what you’re currently doing from the description. Maybe pictures would be helpful.

This is what id like to be pulled up. Is the control center. I can easily quit and do other functions except pull up the control center for my controller i should also mention I'm using the gmoney? Erm whatever the name is control scheme for my elite series 2 controller

@CalebOWolf That controller scheme is for the steam deck not the Xbox elite controller. Are you editing the control scheme for the right controller in Steam? Go to the Xbox series x elite controller controller scheme in the game controller settings for the game in Steam (note: the controller needs to be connected for this option to pop up) and then map ctrl+q to a back button and try it in game.
