For extreme vampire cases, add a "ban mode" that kicks and trashes whenever they post. Optionally add a duration and ping a message in chat stating when they are allowed back.

If mods wanted us to be able to ban, we'd be able to.

I really don't like the idea of having a ban mode. If someone wants to kick a HV, they should take it on themselves and choose to do it.

If Six were our personal playground, maybe, but we're just housekeepers. I think we've been a little kick-happy as it is in the past, though things have settled down lately.

This would remove the record of who's actually responsible for the kick too. Unless you look at it as "everyone is". This is more for cases where we know giving any leeway just leads to more of the same behavior, so preempting it is an easier option. I'm willing to close this one though.

Maybe the solution is some sort of RO ping to get our attention instead, those can probably be triggered manually.

I think making it less clear who's made the kick is a bug, not a feature: diffused responsibility leads to less careful decision-making. If we're going to kick someone, we should be prepared to defend it individually.

The corresponding rule, of course, is that those of us (like me) who seldom do the kicking should be willing to do it when it's necessary, so that certain people don't get stuck with the whole job just because they're less tolerant of nonsense. (Not mentioning anyone in particular. ;-)

Recently there was a weird (and problematic) user who exited and entered a few times in succession, posting a line at a time. Since users can't be kicked if they aren't in the room, this made me think that a single-shot "kick once next time they enter" might be useful still.
