When performing a process, such as buffering, on the same or different layers, the resulting layer is always given the same name. This often leads to confusion, as it becomes difficult to distinguish between the most recent outputs.
It would therefore be helpful if a custom name could be specified directly in the dialog window. For example, the name could be displayed in square brackets to indicate that it is not a standard file name, e.g., [custom layer] resulting in custom layer instead of a confusing Buffered.
Additional context
This could be further expanded in the future by allowing the use of variables within the brackets, such as [$name - buffered 50m], where $name represents the current layer name.
