I have created a shape with the difference tool, the results appear to be corrected when zoomed out. However once zooming in the "difference" shape seems to be unstable, resulting in a wrong shape and size.
Steps to reproduce the issue
create two polygon shapefiles which partially overlap with shape_1 being larger than shape_2. Shape_1 is biscected by shape_2.
select the difference tool from the geoprocessing toolkit
select shape_1 as the input layer
select shape_2 as the overlay layer
run with open output file after running selected
zoom in on resulting shapefile
Versions
3.40.1 and 3.34.13
Supported QGIS version
I'm running a supported QGIS version according to the roadmap.
@kitfisto, please provide the full QGIS version info ("In the QGIS Help menu -> About, click in the table, Ctrl+A and then Ctrl+C. Finally paste here. Do not make a screenshot.") and please provide the input layers and the output layer.
