Feature request: Dark mode

This is one of the only apps I use that burns my eyes with indifferent brilliance. How much effort might it take to implement a dark mode?

No idea.

Probably the easiest solution would be to add a “dark mode“ theme, but then that theme would be independent from the platform-specific themes (i.e., you would have the MacOS theme, the Windows theme, ... and the “dark mode“ theme).

Ideally, we’d want something that automatically follows the underlying system’s settings, but whether this is doable without completely overhauling our current theming system is unclear.

I’ll look into it, but don’t expect anything anytime soon.
