A new result file type from the Subclass sync pipeline is now being generated for cases where a subclass relationship is confirmed, but where the external source has a direct subclass relationship and this same relationship is indirect in Mondo. In the file src/ontology/reports/omim.subclass.confirmed-direct-source-indirect-mondo.robot.tsv, Nico made a great observation that there are quite a few cases (830) where Mondo injects a class between and OMIMPS and an OMIM. Note, the only source of subclass axioms in OMIM is OMIMPS so a much shorter list was expected. There is a PR with this file at: https://github.com/monarch-initiative/mondo-ingest/pull/717/files#diff-20946135728169c0861d6aa961b1fada66f9aa6fbe13595351b89a889816f273
@sabrinatoro do you know of any reason/ontology curation pattern why there would be so many cases where there is a direct subclass relationship in OMIM and it's indirect in Mondo? Do you want this looked at further?
