Feedback from BHCC more generally is that having different workflows and features enabled per content type can be confusing, so we have taken steps to add workflows and scheduling to all content types including custom ones and have it set up uniformly. I may even raise this as an issue / PR on localgov_workflows that creating a new content type should add it to workflows and enable scheduling automatically.
