True Battery Capacity?

Does the application detect true battery capacity?
I bought a custom battery for my vita: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33018235315.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.1fd84c4dhOGjR5

For this battery, I am not sure if the value shown in VITAident for battery capacity is taken directly from the battery system as a value (2285mAh) or derived from a percentage and then calculated from a fixed value in the application. It is supposed to show 3700mAh, but instead it is showing 2285mAh
