Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Honeycomb just released expanded trace querying relational fields in its UI with root., parent. and any. clauses. We added support for root. in Refinery in 2.4 and 2.5. We should also add at least parent.; not clear yet if any. is useful or can be made performant enough.

Describe the solution you'd like

For parent., we probably need to change the way traces are stored to keep spans in a map by spanID rather than a list.

More research is needed.
