Car Play Actions - Useful?

I have been extensively testing the CarPlay feature:

1. the implementation is awesome and works perfectly for me, very very useful.
2. The whole actions thing is very odd to me both on iOS, watchOS and especially on CarPlay.
   what is seems to be is "actions" is really a dashboard for and device "service" in HA, it really should just be a dashboard of favorites and there should be no need to add an action the way its done today.
   Since what this really is a favorites dashboard, why not do something like hold down on one of the options in the full list of entities and be able to just long hold and "add to dashboard (actions)", this way there is no need to write actual code or make an automation for an entity.
   This would be great for the iOS app as well as watchOS so no need to configure "actions"

I agree with this, however, with the current implementation I find the actions screen the most valuable screen because I can customize it to what I want.

It would be nice if we could select the actions we want to see in CarPlay, like how we can configure the scenes we see in the actions list. Most of the actions I have only exist so I can do certain things in HA by Siri, not something I would want to do with a button click.
Edit: Just found out I can disable actions with show_in_carplay in my config, as documented here: https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/core/actions#creating-actions-in-home-assistant

I've got so many areas (23) and entities (1600+) that the area and control tabs are very difficult to find the right entity. As mentioned above, allowing a favorites-like screen would be very much appreciated.

I would also prefer that the server tab move to the settings, I think most people will only have 1 server, so this tab is probably not so useful for most users and this would free up space for a favorites tab :-).

Love the CarPlay actions, but would like an option to have actions that's only visible in CarPlay. Feels like show_in_ios would fit well alongside show_in_carplay and show_in_watch.
