English version:
"... Unlike once popular centralized version control systems, DVCSs don't need a constant connection to a central repository. ..."

Spanish translation:
"... A diferencia de los sistemas de control de versiones centralizados populares, los DVCS necesitan una conexión constante a un repositorio central. ..."

The right translation would be:
"A diferencia de los sistemas de control de versiones centralizados populares, los DVCS no necesitan una conexión constante a un repositorio central. ..."
