DNF Summit - January 2023

Starting the thread here for the January Edition of the DNF Summit.
It was included in the October newsletter with an invite for interested parties to fill out a form and join the discussion here if they are interested in helping plan. I hope this will boost the participation in the Outreach committee too.

Members, projects and sponsors will have priority over non-members, but everyone is welcome to submit a session proposal!

Tuesday, January 17th will be the date for the 2nd Summit.
Ideas for the next few meetings:
3rd be for the India/Australian time zone focused, sometime in April.
4th is to focus on Members of DNF?

Hosting:

Introduce speakers and QA after the session and hand off to the next host and speaker?

What can we do to advertise, is there a budget. Nicole to ask Eric/Virtual
Something for speakers: Stickers or other swag for promotion aka Mugs, pins, t-shirts

Use Meetup to announce it - Virtual User groups,
Submit to the events page of Microsoft .NET Events page, check the sponsor's pages for cross promotion of event

Next steps:

Team; to research some of the projects we might be able to approach for a session, self-nominations and suggestions can be dropped in discussions too.

Nicole; to reach out directly to projects/maintainers to ask them to be involved in a 45 minute sessions with a 10-15 min QA with questions pre selected for the session and the host can ask questions that came up on the stream from the audience.

Aneesh; to update the website DNFSummit.org with the new date and information as we receive it.

Next planning meeting will be scheduled for the week of Dec 5th.
