It has been a topic of discussion before. Mainly talked about it in issue #537. Some smaller experiments have been done but it has not amounted to much. Some of those experiments have landed in the Python 3 fork of SC Controller so it has not been a total loss. One big problem that I have not found a workaround for yet is Steam actively resetting a controller when invoking SIAPI in some games; in my case, the test game is Streets of Rage 4. Trying to block Steam from grabbing access to a controller would not matter as Steam would perform a fake disconnect, a controller would be disconnected from any external mapper, and any chmod modifications would be undone. |

I know this is a lot of wishful thinking, specially considering that drivers are very different on windows and Linux, and that .NET runtime is not available on Linux... but it would be awesome to see a Linux version of DS4Windows (maybe running on Mono?), if it is ever feasible someday :) (A hell lot of of work and difficulties, I know).
