How to set foreground basing on environment variable?

This is my attempt:

  foreground_templates = [
    '{{ if .Env.macos_interface_style "Dark" }}15{{ else }}0{{ end }}'
  ]

but it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

This should work as it's evaluated, but is that an environment variable or a variable? Scope matters, how do you set macos_interface_style?

  export macos_interface_style=Dark
else
  export macos_interface_style=Light
fi

And it works as expected, I can confirm it by env | grep macos.
