Following up on the success of our "How to Code Review" session, where we definitively answered every aspect of that question for all teams, for all time .. I propose we discuss how to estimate.
Accurate estimation was a big deal for me in my past life as a consultant, and I've found a few things that work for me. I'd love to hear what works for others.
There are some interesting peripheral topics too, like cross-team estimation, or the sometimes contentious process of cutting scope when the estimate is too big, or how to respond professionally when someone (perhaps your boss) tries to estimate something on your behalf.
