Module Federation

The project seems very interesting and we would like to migrate to it from our current webpack configuration for our micro-frontend structure, but webpack's new module federation would massively solve a ton of our current issues with it.

It would be interesting if it could be implemented for other bundlers as well.

For unbundled sites (Snowpack's default build output) module federation is essentially a solved problem. Files can be loaded individually, on demand, in production.

If you bundle your site for production, then you should use @snowpack/plugin-webpack which is powered by Webpack and should get all of their module federation features once v5 lands.

I just checked, the plugin has been upgraded to use Webpack 5.

Just wonder how to import remote module like in webpack 5，I use csa to create two react app, and app1 import app2's App.js(import App2 from 'http://localhost:8000/dist/App.js'), but app1 will show an error:

Error: Invalid hook call. Hooks can only be called inside of the body of a function component. This could happen for one of the following reasons: xxx

App.js has a useState hook call.

So, is it because multiple react？just not really understand how it works, hopefully, we will have some examples in module federation or micro frontend solution.

I can confirm that it works out of the box with Ecmascript Modules. Made a demo of it here:
