Could replace the current python-dependent approach (using pyDOID and reticulate).

Note: Although this would replace the python dependency for git repository management with a purely R-based solution, there remain python dependencies for effectively executing SPARQL queries (python rdflib via pyDOID) and mapping with GILDA (PyOBO, gilda).
